St. Thomas’ Choristers

The ST. THOMAS’ CHORISTERS serves children from grades 4-8 and their families, as well as some . We meet for group dinner at 5:15pm every Wednesday in Haas Hall, then go to Groton House for rehearsal with Derrick from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m. We learn good singing technique, music theory, information about the church year and traditions, and have fun doing it! The focus is on preparing excellent choral repertoire and developing an age – appropriate demeanor for leading worship.

The Royal School of Church Music Voice for Life workbooks and training scheme prepares our choristers for a lifetime of musical knowledge and good singing. Choristers are rewarded for their work with ribbons and medals demonstrating their level of accomplishment, and are encouraged to attend RSCM training camps in the summer. We also have Chorister Fun Days and
have taken trips to sing in places like New York City. The Choristers sing 1-2 times a month at the 9:30am service.
