The mission of Adult Spiritual Formation Commission is to foster spiritual and personal growth through Christian study and fellowship. We seek to support the continuing and well rounded education of ‘The Spiritual Adult’ through programs that emphasize the concepts of Spirituality in Daily Life/Spirituality in Relationships; Prayer/Meditation; Scripture Study; Worship/Liturgy; Service/Stewardship; Honoring the Body; History/Tradition; Arts/Spirituality.
Our Commission’s Ministries include Adult Small Groups that meet on Sunday mornings to study and discuss topics including: Caregiving; Adult Bible Study; Parenting; Painting and Prayer; Spiritual Disciplines; and book discussions on various topics including on the year’s theme for St. Thomas’ Church, ‘Ethics’. We also provide programs on the Foundations of Faith for newcomers and others seeking to grow in their faith. The classes cover the fundamental building blocks of: faith, the Bible, God, Jesus, Justice, the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Practices.
